123. The Emasculation of Men Is Not Necessary: Overcoming Societal Pressures and Finding Authentic Connection in Relationships and Friendships | w/ Connor Beaton

In this episode of The Intimate Marriage Podcast, Alexandra Stockwell, MD, is joined by Connor Beaton, the founder of ManTalks, to discuss the emasculation of men and how they can have real conversations with their partners and friends.

Despite appearing to have a perfect life, Connor hit rock bottom while struggling with addictions and dishonesty. He eventually found a mentor who taught him yoga, psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, and shadow work. When he opened up to his male friends about his struggles, he found they didn’t know how to respond and were used to conversations which lacked depth and substance. This realization inspired him to create ways for men to connect with one another and their partners, in meaningful ways that don’t compromise their strength.  Connor helps men open up to one another, and their partners, without feeling emasculated. Instead, they flourish from doing so.
