Happy Cat, Happy Groomer: Building Confidence in Cat Grooming with Jo Wallace

In this episode, Bill chats with master cat groomer Jo Wallace about her new online course, Happy Cat, Happy Groomer, and her welfare-led approach to working with cats.

Jo shares why cat grooming does not have to feel intimidating, how solo groomers can build confidence, and why understanding the individual cat in front of you is key. They discuss handling, behaviour, owner expectations, boundaries, and the importance of having a plan before the cat even comes out of the carrier.

Jo also talks about putting herself out there as an educator, building a supportive cat grooming community, and how the course helps groomers learn through video demos, workbook support, and practical guidance.

This is a great episode for groomers who are curious about cat grooming, already offering it but lacking confidence, or looking for a calmer, more welfare-focused way to approach cats in the salon.
