Marketing ‘triggers” (aka heuristics) are incredibly important to increase conversion rates across all forms of marketing. So why are they so rarely used in business? My guess is because academics make them sound so intimidating. Hyperbolic discounting? Licensing effect? Attentional bias? With names like these, it’s no wonder why these are so rarely used.
