Sam Bates is the managing partner of Bates Capital Group and a partner and co-founder of Trinity Capital Group. Both companies are based in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Sam’s background is in financial services, state and local taxes, and real estate. He has been directly involved in the acquisition, rehabilitation, disposition, and management of over $100 million dollars in multifamily and single-family real estate since 2009. Sam has spent over 11 years in Corporate America, where he has had the opportunity to work with a lot of high-net-worth individuals. He worked with advisors to help grow their total assets under management significantly. Sam’s real estate career started with investing in large syndication as a passive investor in Dallas. The syndication underperformed and led Sam to start investing on his own in single-family homes. This has led Sam to grow into developing real estate, as well as commercial value-add real estate opportunities.
