A self-made entrepreneur, investor, and co-founder of M13, Carter Reum has built successful companies in both the private and public sectors. Carter is also an active venture capital investor and serves on the boards of directors of several fast-growing startups. Carter, along with his brother Courtney, launched the premium spirits company Veev, the first of its kind making liquors from acai fruit, in 2007. Veev was recognized as an Inc. Magazine’s “500 Fastest-Growing Private Company in America”, and honored in Goldman Sachs’ 100 “Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs” list. It had US$10 million in annual sales before being sold to the beverage company Luxco for more than seven times its revenue in 2016, according to Built to Sell.
