Michelle Ossmann, PhD, MSN started her career as a Nurse practitioner, delivering services to patients in need. She saw an opportunity to use design to better support more patients at scale, and just as importantly, the Nurse practitioners and other health care team members who face a storm of beeps, flashes, and technology intersecting with the care and emotions of the hospital ward. As part of this work, she took a deep dive into the fundamental literature around hospitality, something that is deeply ingrained in human culture, across continents, religions, and time. It’s a set of shared values, fundamental to the human experience, and sharing food and breaking bread is the third of three attributes that define it. Please join me in welcoming Michelle Ossmann to Work 20XX I heard Michelle at another webinar (Thanks Mark Catchlove), and was so excited she accepted the invitation to share her knowledge with the Work 20XX community.
