017 | Tadzio Dlugolecki - The Architecture of a Meaningful Life
Welcome back to At the Table. Today’s guest is Tadzio Dlugolecki — a writer, what I call a ‘cultural thinker’, and co-founder of Lobster Club, the rotating gallery and residency program that’s been quietly reshaping the art world. He’s the voice behind Joy Arbitrage, a substack that explores what it means to live a lighter and brighter life; and an advisor to Silver Arts Project.
In this episode, we dig into some of Tadzio’s core principles for living a more intentional life. We talk about his “2 Summers Left” mindset and how to tap into the good ole’ days by shifting how we live in the present moment. We get into his concept of 2%ers, why climbing Cringe Mountain is often the fastest path to growth and how his bi-annual retreats help him reset and stay on course. We also explore the difference between deep and cheap dopamine and what it means to choose your struggles before life chooses them for you.
Conversations with Tadzio always leave me feeling more energy. He makes you want to slow down, rethink your social defaults and start experimenting with what actually brings you joy. Big love.
