Helping women understand and embrace their individuality is at the heart of Lindsay Parker’s coaching philosophy.

Lindsay didn’t always consider herself “the lifting type.” But, after falling in love with the process of biomechanics, lifting, and strength training, she soon found herself passionate about helping other women navigate through the world of fitness.

Certified in biomechanics, execution, and program design, Lindsay has made it her mission to help her clients appreciate their bodies and enrich their lives through her platform, LiftingLindsay.

Lindsay joins me today to discuss cultivating a healthy approach to fitness and nutrition. She shares her training philosophy and explains the value of a coach’s circle of influence.

She discusses the role of shame, anxiety, and being emotionally charged in one’s fitness journey.

She describes what intuitive eating is and how to do it more effectively.

And Lindsay also highlights the role of coaching and accountability and underscores why finding the right coach is critical.

You have to have self-compassion to have curiosity, which then leads to education and change. If we can get curious about our behaviors, then we can identify patterns and form new habits. – Lindsay Parker
