Sam Belyea is an author, massage therapist, and owner of The Foot Whisperer Reflexology Institute. Sam originally attended college to become a physical therapist, but instead decided to venture off into the world of massage therapy. In the midst of trying to keep up with all of the deep tissue work his clients demanded, Sam acquired an injury. Feeling lost and wondering which direction his career would shift he found himself in a reflexology course. The rest was history. Today Sam has a growing online community, a book, a business, and an institute where he teaches reflexology to students. Reflexology is the art and science of bringing balance to the body by stimulating therapeutic reflexes in the extremities i.e. the hands, feet, and ears. Im sure you can tell by the name of his business that Sam's work is solely, pun intended, based around the feet. Reflexology is most effective at balancing hormones, regulating organ and gland function, relieving chronic pain, and promoting deep relaxation. His institute also provides services in massage therapy, cupping, yoga, mediation, and ayurveda.
