Maya Corbic, a CPA and dedicated mom, combines her vast experience as a CFO, auditor, and tax accountant with her personal journey from a first-generation immigrant from war-torn Bosnia to a successful financial literacy educator. Having arrived in a new country with her family at 15 with nothing but two suitcases and $50, living in government housing and juggling two part-time jobs in high school, Maya's early hardships instilled in her the importance of financial independence. She and her husband overcame $60,000 in debt early in their marriage, achieving debt freedom, including their mortgage, by the time she was 32.
