Many coaches report participating in courses solely to obtain badges that grant them legitimacy in their roles, viewing the process as a means to an end rather than a transformative experience. This transactional nature is exacerbated by course designers prioritizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness over the quality and depth of learning, leading to a situation where key insights and practical applications are often overlooked. Consequently, many coaches leave these programs feeling unprepared for real-world challenges, as the knowledge gained does not translate into effective coaching in dynamic environments.
