Rick Olderman (rickolderman.com) is a licensed physical therapist, author, and creator of the Fixing You Method. His latest book is titled “Pain Patterns: Why You Are In Pain and How To Stop It” and is now available on Amazon.
Rick has a much different, (and a much more comprehensive) approach to healing injuries than most. This is all laid out in detail in Rick’s latest book, and it’s what we chatted about in this episode.
The three main pillars are the connection between movement, fascia and reflexes in pain and how these all contribute to creating, and healing injuries. Functional linking is the connection between all your past injuries and poor movement patterns and your current pain. And lastly the connection between psychological trauma or stress and pain.
All of this combined contributes to pain in various ways. Understanding it allows you to identify it, and then work to correct or improve it to ultimately help you get out of pain and back to living your best life as soon as possible.
If you’ve ever been injured, or experience chronic pain, this episode is for you.
