The thought of another day requiring further actions elongates the day to the point of frustration.
Why can't I get anything done?
At the same time, when life gets ahead of you, it's a great opportunity to pull back just a little.
Remind yourself of the decisions you committed to and see if you actually followed through.
Believe it or not, it's easy to take the short road to get where we want to go faster. But faster is not always better. Usually there's something lost along the way.
So don't fret today.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Implement your decisions!Yesterday, I was writing down all the things that required my attention from personal to professional. The list grew quite quickly in a matter of seconds.
In fact, I couldn't write fast enough to keep up with my thoughts.
As I reviewed the list, I immediately became drained because the list was growing and not shrinking.
Most in part to my own doing. I needed to implement my decisions. Make time to do all the little things that were holding me back.
Some of those were mere phone calls. Yes, they would have taken 15-20 minutes to conquer them individually. However, in about an hour or so, I could have knocked out the list.
Instead, I allowed myself to be consumed by what I really didn't want to do even though my decisions were to follow through.
Are you stuck in a place where you need to implement your decisions? Take the bull by the horns and go with it?
Don't rely on your thoughts to get you through the day. You must take A.I.M. -- action ignites motivation.
When you take action on your decisions made, you get that endorphin rush of accomplishment.
Celebrate life by doing the small stuff. And when you have to get your hands dirty with the big stuff, there's no reason to fuss. Just do it.
Implement your decisions.
Take what you know and put into action.
