In those moments, it's natural for our inner optimist to remind us that the grass is greener on the other side. We cling to the belief that things can only get better, and that a brighter future awaits us.
But what if, despite our best efforts, the situation doesn't improve? What if we find ourselves stuck in a seemingly endless rut? It is in those testing times that we must dig deep and find the strength to refocus our efforts and energy.

You think you have your new year all set, and already, you've been derailed 3 times. You know, maybe this morning was your third time.
However, you can't live in the rearview mirror. At some point, you have to rise up and make a change by challenging yourself to do something that you haven't tried.
And I know that's a scary and frightening place to hangout. Yet, it's also full of adventure and wondrous opportunities.
So why not just dive in?
1. JUMP!!
It is essential to change our mindset and embrace the power of shifting or pivoting. Often, we become so fixated on what we thought our journey would be that we fail to see the opportunities and possibilities that lie before us.
It's time to let go of the rigid expectations you've had and instead embrace the idea of flexibility. JUMP!!!

By shifting our thinking and being open to new possibilities, we can transform challenges into opportunities.

2. RE-FOCUS!!
When faced with adversity, it becomes crucial to refocus our efforts and energy. It's easy to get caught up in dwelling on what went wrong or fussing over it. And because it didn't meet your expectations, you're ready to call it quits.
But instead, direct your energy towards what you have control over – your actions, your attitude, and your goals. Take inventory of your strengths, talents, and passions. Where can you make a shift and RE-focus your time and energy differently, whether it's acquiring new skills, pursuing a passion project, or exploring different avenues?
RE-focusing allows you to take off your expectation glasses and lean in a little more with some gut-reaction glasses. Think of them as 3D glasses. You go see a movie in 3D, but if you don't have the right glasses, you don't see what everyone else gets to see.

3. BECOME!!
