Parenting as a Series of Worries

Parenting is often experienced as a series of worries as children progress in their independence. Every milestone brings excitement for their growth, but also anxiety for their safety. From crawling to walking to driving, each step forward means relinquishing control and trusting that they will make responsible choices. As parents, it is natural to crave the closeness and protectiveness that comes with keeping our children close, but we must accept that we cannot always shield them from harm. It is important to embrace and appreciate each moment instead of rushing for the next milestone.
