Irresponsibility Cycle - The Rescuer

The Rescuer or the Good Guy is typically one of two types of people--a recruit or a volunteer. They are often well-meaning and empathetic, but they end up becoming codependent with the Victim and working harder on the Victim’s problem than the Victim is. In both cases, the Rescuer/Good Guy is the one who gets handed the “hot potato” of responsibility by the Victim and Bad Guy. In the next podcast, we’ll look at how Rescuers can shift toward responsibility.
