Chaplain Barry Mossip: • Raised in the Thompson Pentecostal Assembly from a young age until 18 • Left the church and faith for 8 years after graduating • Rediscovered faith in Christ in 2015 and recommitted life to God • Baptized in a Pentecostal church and encouraged by pastor to pursue theological training • Attended Horizon College and Seminary via distance education while working full-time • Took on missionary role in First Nations community, teaching Bible fundamentals and serving the community • Became Associate Pastor at Zion Pentecostal Church in late 2016 • Appointed Senior Pastor a year later, served for another year • Church faced financial challenges, relocated with wife to Red Deer, Alberta in 2018 • Served as media and children's pastor at Cornerstone Church in Innisfail for 5 years until its closure • Assisted young adult group leaders at Victory Church Red Deer for 18 months, expanding their program • Completed training and became ordained Chaplain with Chaplain's Office of Canada in March 2024 • After being laid off from work this year, wrote and published a book Contact Chaplain Barry Mossip: My new book Conquering Shadows: Practical Tools For Spiritual Warfare now on Amazon!
