Rob McWhorter was born in Washington DC in 1958. His family lived in Fairfax and Alexandria until he was 6 years old. We then moved to Central Florida.Work was great for Rob’s father who worked in the Union as a Heavy Equipment engineer. His mother worked as a legal secretary. Rob’s brother and 2 sisters grew up in a divided home of spiritual beliefs. His father was a heavy drinker and verbally violent often, and his mother lived a devout Christian life.She struggled at times with his dad's problems, and they struck it out for 27 years. In school Rob was lazy and mischievous. Easily persuaded to "hang with the cool crowd".These were the addicted drug addicts. Rob was bullied often by those who knew he was a coward. Notice I said: WAS a coward. He became a thief and a drug addict at 8 years old.Rob has been in the prison ministry for over 38 years encouraging inmates and introducing them to Jesus. Avery Riches was born in San Diego, California, but lived in 6 states growing up. She is the third of five daughters and grew up dancing, playing soccer, and cultivating many other skills and hobbies.
