It is important when travelling that you maintain control of your routine as best you can. Do one thing that serves your mind, body, or both, no matter where you are to help you stay out of a reactive state.
Knowing what the situation you are entering will be like also will help you to make better eating and exercise choices. Does this hotel have a gym? Will there be healthy food readily available? Make sure you prepare ahead and don’t use a lack of access to a gym as an excuse. Resistance bands are a versatile way to get a workout in, and doing something is always better than doing nothing.
As well as maintaining your ability to exercise you should also try to eat at home or in the airport before you fly - as the food on planes is full of fats and salt, and very unhealthy. Try to bring good quality food and snacks with you, such as shakes, nuts, and fruit. This will help to keep your protein levels high and avoid making bad food choices.
Stick to your plan and live your life on your own terms in order to be the best and most healthy self.
