In this podcast, Dr. Rick Malley, Senior Physician in Pediatrics at the Boston Children's Hospital Division of Infectious Diseases, discusses the current research on COVID-19 vaccination efforts. He discusses the safety and efficacy of the currently-approved vaccines developed by Pfizer, Moderna, and AstraZeneca, as well as some upcoming vaccines. He discusses the impact on the transmission of the virus and outlines some of the controversies and gaps of knowledge still present in research, as well as some of the challenges of making the vaccine available on a global scale.
