General Conference Applied Armed Robber vs Dallin H. Oaks + the Lord—Chicago 1970
Let me stop you right there. This bonus mini episode is a MUCH better experience on YouTube. If you haven't subscribed to our YouTube channel yet, here's an example of what you can look forward to!
01/22/2026 S6E50, Episode #211, President Dallin H. Oaks of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
SURPRISE! This is a bonus mini episode that Clay put together. Even Mitch doesn't know about it! Hehe. We're coming across invaluable teachings and amazing stories from President Oaks in our Come Listen to a Prophet's Voice Saturday newsletters and this one was too good not to share. It's primarily a YouTube video (and you really should watch it there and subscribe), but since many of you fine folks only know us as a podcast, I'm also releasing it as an episode so you won't miss out.
In 1992, then-Elder Oaks told of a Chicago summer night in 1970 when he and his wife, June, were held at gunpoint by a robber. Their terrifying ordeal, what the Spirit showed young Dallin would happen if he fought the robber, and the outcome of it all are images you'll never forget!
