We basically do, the real life version of the the head football coach for Marshall University (McConaughey's We Are Marshall movie) Jack took over the program as the head football coach after the devastating Southern Airways Flight 932 crashed into a hill just short of it's destination killing all 75 people on board. The plane was carrying 37 members of the Marshall University Thundering Herd football team, nine members of the coaching staff, 25 boosters, and four flight crew members. The accident is the deadliest tragedy affecting any sports team in U.S. history. And Jack had the task of rebuilding not only the football team, but an entire community struck by devastation. Jack goes in depth today on what it was like transforming tragedy into hope, building a football team that had absolutely no players (taking walk on, baseball players, and literally hippies- you'll love that story!) Jack's story is one of absolute inspiration. In times where Jack could have succumbed to the treacherous rebuilding road, to the adversities that struck daily along the way, to an entire community putting the weight of their existence on his shoulders, Jack rose above it all and brought the town of Huntington, West VA together as one.
