Coaching the Red Roses: Learning, Balance and Heart
Women's Rugby Coaching magazine editor, Jess Bunyard, goes to the very top of the English game to chat with Simon Middleton and Amy Turner.
Simon has been the Head Coach of England Women since 2015, winning 2 Six Nations titles and taking the team to the 2017 World Cup final.
Amy is Performance Pathway Officer for England Rugby and is currently undertaking a coaching internship with England as part of the Rugby World Cup 2021 programme.
Amy and Simon discuss what makes a successful coaching dynamic, how they're working together and whether there's the potential for future coaching internships in men's and women's rugby. They also remember their early playing and coaching memories and discuss the importance of grassroots coaching.
