Nicole: Hi Doctor C! I am very curious about antibodies. This is obviously a hot topic now, but as you know, antibodies are residual from any virus. My question is how and why some people have antibodies for x amount of time and others have them for more or less. Now that there is a common way for people to blood test this, I find it so interesting that a year later I still have antibodies and some of my friends test negative that had the same thing as me. I take a lot of supplements, eat a lot of colors and prioritize my sleep and sweat - do you think these things can at all contribute to the lifespan of antibodies? Or is there any fun science you could share about this topic? Your podcast is my favorite, thank you in advance! Lauren: First I want to say that your dedicated work is a God send! For the past 2 yrs. I've dealt the symptoms of thyroid problems. I'm undiagnosed- regardless of how many conventional "specialists" I've seen, they say my labs are "normal", acknowledge my symptoms, and send me on my way without help. My problem: 30 pounds of weight gain in 1.5 years that I CANNOT lose no matter what I try/do. I'm extremely conscientious about the quality of food supplements I put into my body (no fillers, dyes, organic, non gmo, etc). I recently (the past 5 months) have been taking magnesium, zinc, pre/probiotic as suggested in a previous podcast. This has helped some with energy but not weight loss. Other symptoms: BRAIN FOG, occasional debilitating mental motivation to do anything, STRESS, hair loss, no energy, wired but tired at night (taking magnesium and zinc at night helps now), etc…. If there were only two EquiLife tests that should I take to figure out what's going on with me, which would be the first and second? Also for women, what is the best time of the month and day to give specimens for the hormone test to optimize the results? Also, what are some critical vit./min. to heal/reboot my system? Thank you and God bless! Josh: Hi Dr Cabral! My 6 year old son got covid 7 weeks ago. He had one day of fever and seemed better, but he has this dry cough since then. It sounds like a bark and gets worse when he runs. We have tried many things both natural and conventional, and nothing is helping. Because we did not know he had covid, he was put under anesthesia for a dental procedure and I worry that made things worse for him. What can I do to help him heal. Thank you for all that you do! Shane: Hi Dr Cabral I'm curious what would make me go to the bathroom 2 to 3 times a night. I eat very healthy well balanced planted based diet with all my macros and micros. I also exercise every morning and have 2 to 3 bowel movements a day. I get plenty of water and stop eating and drinking before 7pm and go to bed by 10 and wake up around 6am. I'm getting some good sleep just not great since I'm getting up to much. I have done my big 5 labs and have Candida Overgrowth and SIBO. So wondering if this is what is causes me to get up 2 to 3 times a night to urinate since my body is not balanced yet? Also it's strange because my right hand usually feels colder than my left just another random symptom I'm trying to get to the bottom of. I will be doing the 21 day detox and CBO Protocol next month so hoping this will help me balance my body and have a better night sleep where I can sleep thru the night. Just curious your thoughts on this matter. Thanks so much! Appreciate all you do! Shane Anonymous: Hi Dr. Cabral! I have a hypothetical situation that I hope I never encounter, but if I do, I'm hoping to be armed with your best advice! As someone who has completed the CBO protocol in the past and is now planning another pregnancy, I'm concerned what would happen if I tested positive on the 3rd trimester Strep B test. As I'm sure you're aware, this is a routine check done on all pregnant women to make sure they don't have Strep B bacteria prior to childbirth, since it can cause serious complications to newborns. Everything I read says antibiotics are the treatment for this. As someone who has had SIBO and Candida in the past and has already completed the CBO protocol, what would the best course of action be if I find myself in this situation? It may be one of those situations where antibiotics are a necessity to protect the baby, however, what can I do to help protect my gut during this time? I searched and searched your podcast archives and couldn't find this question, so hopefully I'm not making you answer a question you already have in the past! Katie: Hi Dr. Cabral. I'm completing my studies for IHP level 1 and Level 2 at this time and I also work as an Occupational Therapist in the hospital setting. Over the years, I have seen more and more chronic illness (a big reason why I'm studying IHP!) that is so debilitating to patients…which leads me to my question... Is there ever a time you feel like an illness is too advanced for rebalancing the body through an integrative health model?
