Matt Hancock has been engaged in a massive 'please rehabilitate me tour' in an attempt to deflect from a) mass avoidable death under his watch and b) resigning in disgrace after canoodling against regulations and - as we see here - quite possibly the law. This humiliation on national television, however, offers an important lesson.
