Greg ‘Clanger’ Kleynjans: Fighting the good fight with publican, musician and martial arts referee
He’s a charismatic publican, musician and martial arts referee. And there isn’t anything Greg ‘Clanger’ Kleynjans puts his mind to that he doesn’t do with 100% passion and a good sense of humour. He’s the kind of guy who knows everyone and has done A LOT, but you wouldn’t know it because words like humble and genuine sum up this one in a million human. Clanger is a true storyteller, with a back catalogue of material to work with. He’s not just a former fighter himself but has officiated hundreds of Mixed Martial Arts fights across Australia, the US, China, Japan and beyond. He also played a key role creating one of the AFL’s greatest dynasties of the modern era (the Richmond Tigers). Oh and if you haven’t heard of the band the Shandy Butchers, then listen in, because that yarn is frankly a clanger!
