Episode notes
Why He Became TimProvise Instead Of Dennis
- Tim Dennis (TimProvise) changed his surname professionally to avoid online searches damaging future teaching prospects.
- He grew up without meeting his father, used grandparents' family stories to search for his whakapapa while juggling career opportunities and family life.
How Working With Troubled Youth Sharpened His Interview Skills
- Tim worked with Child, Youth and Family and tough residential cases at age 20, then trained as a teacher; those early jobs taught rapid rapport-building and behaviour management.
- He credits mentors and the intensity of that work for giving him the communication skills he later used on camera and radio.
Bakery Run Started On Twitch And Grew Organically
- Bakery Run began from Tim streaming on Twitch and turning casual food chats into a live format with Zoom guests and chat interaction.
- Early episodes were improvised; the show later evolved into a proper series that opened media doors including Crowd and radio work.
