Exercise is Bullshit! "Cookie Cuts Fitness" with David "Cookie" Cook
Episode 34!
Thrilled to have my friend and fitness colleague David "Cookie" Cook on the show this week.
Dave owns "Cookie Cuts" Fitness in Nashville, TN. He's one of the most soft after personal trainers in the area. Aside from having a thriving coaching business, Dave is one of the most authentic people I've ever met. He's extremely open with his story of recovery and fitness struggles and how he's continued to battle these while managing to hold onto a growing business through it all.
In this episode we talk about how Dave got involved in fitness in the first place. What made him decide to start "Cookie Cuts" and how he's built his business over the better part of the last decade. Through COVID shutdowns, his equipment and gym burning to the ground, and his own struggles with recovery, Dave's story is one of resilience and grit.
He, like many business owners, learns while doing. He shares how he's continued to refine his process over the years, and finally broke down and hired a fitness business coach himself. With a newfound determination and a bustling action plan Dave is ready to take "Cookie Cuts" to the next level. I think every listener will find this story incredibly relatable and motivating. If you're interested in learning more, visit his website (HERE) or give him a follow on IG (HERE) for some of the best no nonsense fitness advice in the business!
If you've ever thought about adding to your own home gym, there's a brand I'm a huge fan of that I couldn't recommend more highly. Temple of Gainz is a California based company that's making waves in the home gym space with some of the best products on the market.
They recently launched one of the most exciting designs on kick starter, the "QuadSend", which Dave and I discuss a little bit in this episode as well. It's currently on pre-order on Kickstarter and has already raised of $500,000!!!! This leg piece is unlike any other on the market. If you're looking for something built like a tank that will last FOREVER, this is the leg machine you've been waiting for!
Their thoughtful designs inspired by great machines of the past are constantly being innovated and improved. Their customer service is top notch and they have some of the most competitive prices in the space with their direct to consumer shipping (which is free if you spend more than $1500). Whether you own a small studio or want to create the ultimate home gym, you should give Temple of Gainz a try!
