It's about doing the right things to reach organizational goals, irrespective of the resources consumed. While efficiency is centered on the process, effectiveness is concerned with the end result. A company can be efficient by minimizing resources to complete a task, but if the task does not contribute to the overall objectives of the company, it cannot be considered effective. Balancing efficiency and effectiveness is key to strategic management, ensuring that resources are not only conserved but also directed towards meaningful, goal-oriented activities.
