Public servants have an enormous need for positive public relations! "I feel like they get elected and then forget who got them there," said Tonya McKenzie, founder of Sand & Shores, based in Redondo Beach, CA. She is a public relations and leadership consultant, specializing in civic, law enforcement, and nonprofit organizations. She is also a trauma survivor and storyteller with the desire to have a powerful effect on real lives. As a Los Angeles County Commissioner, she is always looking to improve the quality of life for others and leave this world better than she got it through the shared experiences and stories of those she works with.

The PR Podcast is your view inside the public relations business. We talk with great PR people, reporters and communicators on how they weave narratives that are informative and fun.  Host Jody Fisher has worked in New York City PR for more than 20 years, representing clients across the healthcare, higher education, financial services, real estate, entertainment and non-profit verticals.  Join the conversation on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram at @ThePRPodcast.
