Crumble Vs. Shift – The Power Of Our Words
In a recent crossover podcast episode with my friend Melissa Oatman, host of Awaken Your Inner Awesomeness podcast, we got into a juicy conversation on the power of our words. It’s HUGE!
We explored how the words we speak, out loud and to ourselves, shape our reality. Words impact our energy and even steer our spiritual path. Let’s get into some of the highlights from this inspiring conversation.
The Power of Our Words Is Magic!
Words are like little spells. Whether you realize it or not, they carry energy which absolutely matters. Your language influences how you feel, what you believe, and even how things play out in your life.
Think about how often you throw around phrases like, “I’m drowning in work” or “This is killing me” or even “What a pain in the ass.” It might seem harmless, but those words can create an energetic echo that subtly starts shaping your reality.
This is where the law of attraction kicks in. The words you use are like seeds that take root in the subconscious. Over time, they grow into beliefs, feelings, and patterns—good or bad. That’s why being more intentional with what you say can create big shifts.
Even replacing a little self-deprecating humor or those habitual negative phrases with something more positive can totally change the vibe you put out into the world. Not only that, but also what you inviting back in.
Is It Really Crumbling? Or Just Shifting?
One topic Melissa and I dove into was the language being used right now, especially in the US spiritual community. There’s a lot of talk about how things are “crumbling”—our institutions, our systems, all of it. But is that really what’s happening?
What if, instead of saying things are falling apart, we say they’re shifting?
Words like “crumbling” tend to bring up fear. They can make us feel powerless, like everything’s slipping out of control. But shifting? That feels different. That feels hopeful, empowering, and even exciting. It frames change as evolution instead of destruction.
And no, this doesn’t mean we pretend everything’s okay. It just means we’re choosing to engage with what’s happening from a more empowered place. When speaking of transformation instead of collapse, you open yourself and others to curiosity, possibility, and new solutions.
Joy Is Powerful – Lift Your Vibe
No question about it – getting caught up in today’s heaviness is so easy. There’s a lot going on in the world, and it can drag you down if you let it. But here’s the thing to keep in mind – joy is powerful. Gratitude is magnetic. They lift your vibe and ripple out to everyone around you.
Tapping into joy isn’t about turning away from the world’s pain—it’s about refusing to drown in it. When you focus on what brings peace, delight, and love, you raise your vibration. That energy matters. It helps heal, strengthens the light within, which becomes a gift you offer others without even trying.
Anchor the Light, Shine the Shift
When you choose words like “shifting” instead of “crumbling,” this choice creates a very real energetic shift. “Shifting” has the power of flow. It suggests movement, evolution, and growth. It helps lighten the emotional load and makes space for hope, ease, and inspiration.
Melissa and I aren’t pretending things aren’t hard right now. But we want to encourage you to be conscious and to hold a positive vision of what’s possible. This is how you can avoid getting stuck in fear and why it’s so important to remember the power of our words.
When you raise your own energy, you naturally invite others to rise with you. Language becomes a lighthouse drawing others toward a higher frequency. That’s where things feel more manageable and less overwhelming or frightening.
The beautiful part is when you consistently use words that uplift, you help create a more positive collective experience. You help nurture a space where growth, healing, and transformation can happen more easily—not just for yourself, but for your community too.
Who Is Winning – Dark Vs. Light?
Community, Healing & Support
Of course, staying hopeful all the time isn’t easy. That’s where community becomes even more important. You don’t have to do this alone. Whether you have a Reiki or energy healing, request intuitive guidance, or engage in any supportive tool, working with the right people makes a huge difference.
Melissa and I both offer healing sessions designed to help clear energy blocks, raise your frequency, and help you realign with your inner power. Healers need healing too!
We both did sessions for each other! Reaching out for support is exactly what clears the fog and helps you move forward with clarity, strength, and a more positive outlook. Melissa started singing her happy song by Shania Twain after her session ended, uplifting her energy and that of her home too!
Time to Crown Yourself
Here’s one of the most powerful takeaways from our conversation builds on my podcast last week with Allison Stillman talking about being a queen. It’s time to crown yourself. Not taking on more pressure or responsibility but claiming your own sovereignty. You are the authority in your own life. Choose how you show up, care for yourself, and share your light.
This kind of self-empowerment is based on alignment. It’s about showing up as your full self, caring deeply for your well-being, and using your words to support and nurture your path.
So yes, the power of our words is tremendous. When used intentionally, the right words help shape your life and a world filled with more kindness, light, and positive possibilities.
Go ahead and wear that crown. Speak with intention. Shine that beautiful light of yours, and help co-create a collective shift that feels expansive, loving, and filled with possibility.
