Most Americans have a serious problem with mastering delayed gratification as we live in the age of instant gratification and on-demand dopamine-producing activities. But what’s important to remember is that everything you are feeling, whether you feel energized or tired, is a result of all the micro-decisions you made in the past years. If you’re not happy with the result of those micro-decisions, you can still turn them around. It all starts with acquiring the knowledge on how to do that, first.

Being able to identify yourself within a community may be one of the ultimate hacks for improving your lifespan. The reason why is that when you become part of a community that is congruent with the lifestyle you want for yourself, it significantly reduces the amount of brainpower it takes for you to make a decision. This is because as humans, we naturally compare ourselves to those around us and if we strategically place ourselves around the people we want to be like and whose beliefs and values align with ours - we will naturally take the same decisions.

Most of us think of health or being healthy as being able to live as long as possible. We consider living another 40 years in pain as a better alternative to living another healthy 30 years. But the truth is that health is NOT simply living as long as possible. Health is about living well.
