Jason Brown on the Big Rocks of Conditioning, Programming and Online Coaching

Feb 25, 2022

Combat veteran Jason Brown, began his journey in the world of physical preparation at an early age.

While his father encouraged his athletic training, his mother was a powerlifter herself and served as a great role model for Jason.

Today, Jason is a Certified Special Strengths Coach with Westside Barbell and has a Master of Science degree in Exercise Science.

He is the Founder of Jason Brown Coaching, where he helps his clients become stronger and well-conditioned while working with other coaches to create better training programs.

Jason joins me today to discuss his philosophies on conditioning, online coaching, and creating better programs. He explains why not understanding the basics of program design is a major problem coaches make.

He discusses why many trainers miss the foundational principles of program design and reveals what it takes to retain clients for life. Jason also describes what the cardiac output method is and offers advice for coaches who want to take their business online.

The best sign of a great coach is restraint. It’s not what you put into a program, but what you don’t. – Jason Brown
