This week on The Kirk Miller Podcast you will hear Kirk discuss 3 main reasons why diet plans fail especially if you travel a lot for business or you are an entrepreneur. Diet plans are limiting; they don’t teach you how to manage your food choices correctly. When you’re on holiday or away from home and off your diet plan you may eat more treats and unintentionally increase your calories which will add more fat to your body.
High performers and excessive type individuals are prone to spiralling out of control when it comes to eating habits as they have an all or nothing mentality. A better way to look at the all or nothing mentality is to have structure for how you eat and create habits for consistent progress.
We all have off days but the thing is to not let one day define the resulting days and weeks.
Plan every week so you are not in a reactive state every weekend. How you manage your Friday to Sunday is what will get and maintain your results. You need to learn to manipulate calories in order to allow for the cheat days & meals. Kirk encourages you to eat as much real food as possible. Think about the time of day you like to eat, what things you enjoy eating, is it easier to meal prep ahead of time or to use a nutritional meal delivery service. When stress is high intelligence is low and for a lot of people food is that short term reward, it is important that you take control of this. The more you control your emotional state the more you control your fat loss.
