This week, we are joined by a Master's Student in Psychology, Marie Klamer. Marie specializes in sleep, productivity, and habits, and ultimately, teaches people how to use psychology to boost their well-being. In this episode, she educates us on the relationship between sleep and psychology and provides many helpful suggestions about how we can improve our sleep. She talks about our circadian rhythm, caffeine intake, exposure to light, and more! We also discuss productivity and how "hustle culture" is negatively impacting our perceptions of what it really means to be productive. Marie gives advice on how we can both increase and improve our productivity using things like batching tasks and taking proper breaks. She also talks briefly about building effective habits to get the most out of our potential. Overall, we emphasize how interrelated all of these things are with our mental well-being and the importance that they all play in our everyday lives. I learned a lot from this conversation, and I hope you do too!
