Sadly, of the 6 billion tonnes of plastic waste produced since the 1950s, can you believe that just 9% has been recycled. Plastics are now found in the oceans’ depths, high up in the mountains, and even in polar regions. There is absolutely no escaping them! The question that we really ought to understand is whether it’s too late to reverse the effects of plastic pollution?
