David L Steinberg, a senior and accomplished professional from Philadelphia, was a nominee for the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize. He is an award-winning writer and poet, as well as an award-winning environmental activist. Steinberg is the recipient of numerous awards, including the 2019 Change Maker Award, the 2020 Collaboration Award, and the 2021 Certified Community Heart and Soul Coach. Steinberg founded The Society for Poets of Southern New Jersey, one of the oldest poetry groups in the state. Steinberg believes that peace starts within and that the biggest challenge to achieving peace is not blaming the other person for one's feelings. He emphasizes that creating peace begins with creating peace within oneself, then within the family, neighborhood, state, nation, and eventually the world.
