46 Rip Esselstyn - Living Plant Strong with The Engine 2 Diet

It was 10 years ago that The Engine 2 Diet Book was released. It was also 10 years ago that my Doctor told me that I had ridiculously high cholesterol and needed to either take a pill or adopt a vegetarian lifestyle. Neither sounded particularly appealing, but after reading The Engine 2 Diet book, I was inspired to give this "healthy eating" thing a whirl. In just 8 short weeks of living plant strong, my cholesterol dropped 60 points and I lost 10 lbs...I also did my 2nd Ironman that same Spring and set a 34 minute personal best! 

It's been an amazing 10 years and to celebrate a decade of plant-strong living, I spoke with the gentleman who inspired me to start it all: Rip Esselstyn.
