Shame can make us feel embarrassed, humiliated and guilty but it can also lead to long term feelings of inadequacy and worthlessness.

Whilst any of us may have experienced isolated moments of shame for others it can be a chronic, longterm issue, in the form of toxic shame. This can lead to a number of issues including feelings of:

• Isolation
• Emotional Distress (Anger, sadness and self-loathing)
• Needing to be perfect 
• Being unable to lower your guard in a relationship
• Unworthyness
