Drew University and completed her residency in ophthalmology at the Howard University Medical Center Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Ngakeng completed a cornea / refractive fellowship at Corneal Consultants of Indiana/Price Vision Group. Dr. Ngakeng is highly recognized, having received the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Sciences Ophthalmology Award, Howard University Achievement Award, and the Outstanding Surgical Intern of the Year Award from California Hospital, Los Angeles.
