Napoleon Bonaparte, born in Corsica, Italy, in 1769, initially spoke Corsican and Italian before mastering French. Bullied for his accent, he turned to solitary studies and excelled, becoming the first Corsican to graduate from the Ecole Military in Paris. A staunch Corsican nationalist, he later aligned with the French Revolution and rose through military ranks.
Napoleon's Rise to Power and Reforms
After his successful defense of the National Convention in 1795, Napoleon's popularity surged, leading to his command of the Army of Italy and marriage to Josephine de Bojarnay.
