#248 She explained how expanding one's consciousness and healing can have a direct effect on the body, emotions, and overall experience of reality. She discussed her own empathic energy sensitivity and how her thoughts influenced her body and emotions. Kim is a medical practitioner who has personal experience with autoimmune disease and is passionate about helping people access deeper levels of understanding about the body and how to heal it. She believes that we are taught to believe that physical issues require physical remedies, and that this is not the true nature of reality or the body. She is inspired to bring this awareness to the space of medicine and to help people to approach disease from a deeper perspective. She feels that while individuals are awakening and beginning to realize that there is a different way to do things, on an institutional level, new systems must be created to contain this level of awareness and consciousness. Kim, a former board-certified emergency doctor, left the traditional medical system due to her realization that the system couldn't support her mission. Her awakening happened at 16 and she has not practiced emergency medicine in the last 8 years. She pondered about the potential impact of more people being open to having spiritual awakenings and the potential to create new systems. Kim believes that more and more people are ready to open up to a new way of thinking, learning, and seeing life from a different perspective. She believes that she was an empath even before her awakening. She received her board certification in Emergency Medicine and attended residency at Emory University. Dr. D'Eramo has studied and practiced MindBody Medicine for decades after having experienced a severe anxiety disorder and later a severe autoimmune disease.
