Gary Benz is a pioneer in unscripted television content. He is a TV producer, global distributor, and founder of GRB Studios. Some of his most notable shows include Untold Stories of the ER and the Emmy award-winning Intervention. We had the honor to talk to Gary at the RealScreen West 2019 Summit and discuss the past, present, and future of unscripted television. Gary takes us back to his beginning working in stunts, to how he created and sold his own shows, and now syndicates content all over the world. He also details how to keep people engaged with so many choices, and how he’s shaping people’s perception of entertainment by creating more authentic and real content.
