When The Woke Go Broke and Cancel Themselves! And, Here Come the Truckers!

If there have been more famous last words this year, I can’t think of them just now. (Except maybe, “look at me getting my final booster shot, you motherf*&%#ng anti-vaxxers”…)

Ironically, Neil Young, a freedom activist of the 60s and 70s is known for a song called ‘Keep On Rockin’ in the Free World’, and as recently as 2017, Young wrote a song called Children of Destiny in which he sings:

“Stand up for what you believe/Resist the powers that be/Preserve the land and save the seas/For the children of destiny/The children of you and me…”

Now however, the open discussion of ideas enrages him. So much so, that in his attempt to cancel the exchange of ideas which he does not share, and to punish any platform that allows for civil debate between differing viewpoints – he has managed to cancel himself. 

I guess that’s how you take platinum at the Woke Olympics? 

Oh, and …BREAKING NEWS… he has been joined by his old friend Joni ‘Who The Fuck?’ Mitchell – another ancient hippie who used to live in a cave in Crete which had originally housed lepers at the end of the Stone Age before the Romans used them as burial crypts, providing the hippie community with human teeth from which they made ‘Roman art’ and necklaces. 

The hypocrisy is real. 

Joni, along with Neil, has chosen to have her music removed from Spotify — and hit Spotify “where it hurts”.

I guess free love is okay, but not free thought? 

Or maybe it’s just that they’re both from Kanada, where The Fugitive, Justin Castro, is currently hiding from the thousands of “facist” truckers who are out for his blood. 

(Like the neverending war between Bruce Lee and Cocos the Pug, who literally hate each other and today’s video has the footage to prove it. Although, when I said that to my wife, she laughed and said, “No, Cocos doesn't hate Bruce.  If she hates Bruce, she would have gone for the jugular.  Bruce just pisses her off.”)

Which is less than can be said of the convoy of loathing on its way to Ottowa.
