Think back to the last time you were really stressed out. No patience and very little energy.
Well, I don't have to think too far when I was crushing my marriage.
It was all because I was stressed to the max! Too many demands and not enough hands. When your demands are greater than your resources, you are quick to react and not respond.
Every action I took stung like a bee. No one could do anything right, including me.
Now I could say it was because.... But that's just an excuse.
I'm a big girl. And no one deserves to be smacked with words and tones of frustration.
So why not just say you're sorry, make up, and tell him you love him?
Because love isn't fulfilled without respect!
If you are facing some hard times (and that's not unusual), you need to figure out what you can do to lessen the strikes and be more respectful of your spouse.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Love and respect!And whether or not we want to admit it, respect is really low nowadays, not just in marriage but in life.
So step up to the plate. Don't think that a quick smooth over with batting eyes is going to win your husband over.
Your love goes beyond the quickie -- and not that quickie, but the one where you pledge your deep love with a hug.
You've got to take it a step further and deepen the relationship.
So how do you love and respect?
- Say it, See it. You want to say it so he can see it.
- Share it, Show it. Share it so you can show it.
What this does in your marriage is it puts your words into actions that cohesively bonds the heart and the head for the man you love.
Your man needs to be loved and respected by you. And what matters is he knows that HE matters!!
So if your man gets a little testy with you after a conversation, think about what you said. It's possible that you put him down in some way. That's disrespecting him in his eyes whether or not you meant it that way.
So step up so you can step out. Say it, see it. Share it, show it.
