In today’s episode of Figuring Out, we have Priya Jain in conversation with Raj Shamani. She is the founder of Finology and runs a YouTube channel with more than 3 Million subscribers where she teaches everything around legal things and law in a simplified version.
In this episode we started with understanding the ‘Patanjali Scam’, what all the wrong practices Patanjali was doing for a long time, how it was saving itself for years, and how its scam was revealed. We then talked about how laws are made, who is included in this process, and how they are executed. We then discussed the ‘Delhi Liquor Scam’ and how Arvind Kejriwal is connected to it. Why he is arrested and why he is not getting bail and other allegations on his party. She also talked about the Electoral bond and what all things are going wrong and her views on the issue.
Towards the end, we discussed the MLA immunity case, how bribes used to be given earlier in parliaments to ask certain questions in the discussions, and electoral freebies. Then we talked about why India has no national game, language or father till now. She also shared about the adoption rights of different types of couples, Hindu marriage law, and the difference between court marriage and registered marriage.
