Are you looking to take your performance to the next level?
Do you want to really tighten the screws and see how much stronger or fitter you can make your body?
If so, you need to look into the science of palm cooling.
And if you’ve never heard of this concept before, don’t worry – I’ve got you covered!
Because today’s guests are not only obsessed with improving performance, but they are absolutely changing the game with this novel recovery modality.
Evy Lyons is the cofounder and CEO of Apex Cool Labs where she is on a mission to maximize human performance via the science of palm cooling.
She has spent over 20 years building brand and demand for early and growth stage technology companies, including serving as the Chief Marketing Officer for Traackr, a leading marketing software firm.
In her early 30s, Evy traded smoking a pack a day for weightlifting and hasn’t looked back. Now, she treats life like a sport and trains like an athlete so she can stay in the game as long as possible and inspire more women to lift.
Ariel Paul is a PhD physicist, prototyper, and inventor of the Narwhals, an innovative palm cooling device for enhancing performance during training and competition.
Prior to cofounding Apex Cool Labs, he was the Director of Development at PhET Interactive Simulations, a project at the University of Colorado Boulder that creates interactive math and science simulations.
In addition to his love of tinkering, Ariel enjoys rock climbing, and dreaming up fun ways to communicate science concepts.
And in today’s episode, we’re going to take a deep dive into the art and science of palm cooling!
In those rest periods, if you can recover even a little bit better, you can push harder on that next interval. – Evy Lyons
