Bad Boy Running Ep 166 - Rob Shenton on Everest Marathon, mental health and running for North Pole for Help For Heroes
Former Army Major Rob Shenton served for over 20 years in theatres of combat including Afghanistan, Bosnia, Kosovo and Northern Ireland.
Medically discharged in 2016 with depression and PTSD, Rob found running to be a way to deal with the mental health issues he lives with.
He set about challenging himself to run the hottest, highest and coldest marathons on a three-part challenge that took him to the Sahara, up Everest, and to the North Pole. And all in aid of Help For Heroes, who he credits with helping him.
Rob now speaks to audiences all over the world about the impact of running and mental health, sharing his journey.
