Celebrating the Messy, Joyful, and Real Side of Business
Welcome, beautiful entrepreneur! I honestly can't believe I’m saying this, but this is episode 500 of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast. Today’s a bit different. I’ve spent the last few weeks collecting your questions for a mega Q&A session. We’ve got a lot to cover, so let’s jump right in!
I’ll be mentioning past podcast episodes and sharing free resources as we go, so if something sparks your interest, you can find all of those juicy links below.
So, first up—a little honesty. When I posted about approaching 500 episodes and asked for your questions, I didn’t exactly get an avalanche in my inbox. And guess what? That’s totally okay. I share this because I think there are two big lessons here.
First: people find it hard to ask questions when you’re vague. I literally said, “Hey, it’s episode 500, ask me anything!” But if you’ve ever been put on the spot, you know: the broader the ask, the harder it is to come up with something specific.
Compare that to when I asked for questions about planning and productivity—I got tons more, simply because I gave some context. So, takeaway one: generic questions are tough for people to ask.
Second: don’t fall into the trap of making up stories about a slow response. I could have spun it that nobody wanted to hear from me anymore, or that I’d already answered every possible question. But I know people will listen, enjoy, and maybe hear something fresh, even if it’s a question I’ve covered before.
Bottom line: don’t make crickets on social media mean more than they do. Even if you see someone with a big audience getting little engagement, it doesn’t mean “nobody cares.” Don’t let that get you down!
