Forecasting change and managing it

The first step to getting unstuck and managing change is to anticipate it and recognize that it happens constantly. The inability to forecast change is a recent phenomenon fueled by the illusion of unending progress and our belief in having more control over the world than we actually do. By expecting things to stay as they are, we are poorly prepared to act when faced with change. Therefore, it is crucial to acknowledge and prepare for change, whether it's in our careers, relationships, or personal lives.
